  The wire is pure copper. This means it is semi precious in itself. Copper has a spring to it that allows slight bending to return to shape instantly making it less prone to shipping damage and accidents by pets and children. 

  This wire is coated with a tarnish free enamel to make it maintenance free. This is intended for indoor display. An uncoated sculpture should be chosen for outside.
